Delta Brings Back First-Class Meal Service On Select Flights – EclipseAviation.com (2023)

Starting in late August, Delta will bring back first-class meal service on select flights. The airline had previously suspended the service due to the COVID-19 pandemic. First-class meal service will be available on flights between New York-JFK and Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. Delta is also bringing back first-class meal service on flights between Atlanta and New York-JFK, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. The airline is taking a number of precautions to ensure the safety of passengers and crew members, including pre-packaging meals and snacks and providing them to passengers in first class. Delta is also limiting the number of first-class passengers on each flight to allow for social distancing. We’re glad to see Delta bringing back first-class meal service on select flights. This is a great step forward for the airline and its passengers.

Delta has begun offering in-flight meals on some cross-country flights. On hot days, you can eat beef short ribs with whipped potatoes, lemon ricotta pancakes, and smoked salmon plates. Butter is a component of the in-flight bread served by Atlanta-based Banner Butter. Delta is also providing more complimentary snacks in first class and business class on domestic flights. On some domestic flights, Delta Air Lines is offering in-flight meals once more. In place of Gate Gourmet, United Airlines will work with other companies such as Newrest, Mainline Aviation, and Sky Cafe U.S. Snacks will be available in economy classes as usual. Alcoholic beverages are still available on Southwest Airlines and American Airlines, both of which are based in Dallas and Fort Worth, respectively.

More information can be found in our Advertiser Disclosure. Hot food will be served to first-class passengers on domestic flights beginning in March 2022 as a sign of a return to normal after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hot food will also be provided to Delta One and First Class customers flying on select domestic coast-to-coast flights. By clicking on the image, you can see how many miles you fly and how many meals and beverages you can order in-flight. On flights 251+ miles long, we have a wide variety of snacks available (sweet and savory).

If you need to make special arrangements for your meal, please call 1-800-221-1212. The gate agent at the departure gate should greet customers upon their arrival; once onboard, they should inform the flight attendant they have pre-ordered a special meal and confirm with the gate agent.

What Is Delta Serving In First Class Right Now?

As of right now, Delta is serving a few different items in first class. For breakfast, they have items like oatmeal, eggs, and fruit. For lunch and dinner, they have items like chicken, salad, and pasta. They also have a few snacks available throughout the day.

On domestic flights, Delta has added hot meals to the first-class menu. There are beef short ribs, chicken with vegetables, and pasta dishes in the menu that are creamy and delicious. Vegetarian meals, such as Impossible Burger patties or lamb meatballs, are in the works. Last night, Delta first class flew from Boston to Tampa. On flights longer than 900 miles, Delta is once again providing hot meals in first class. Because US airlines have limited catering budgets, I wish they would use simple ingredients and try to make the food taste good. If you only have a few dollars to spend on food, you might want to serve a good salad.

Delta First Class’ real selling point, on the other hand, is the ability to avoid the traditional check-in, security, and boarding lines. Delta First Class offers many advantages, but the cost of flying in the business class cabin is higher than flying in the Main Cabin.

Is It Worth Flying Delta First Class?

Customers of Delta Comfort and First Class will be able to enjoy complimentary beer and wine. Main Cabin patrons can buy alcohol with tap-to-pay. All cabins will have a coffee, tea, Coca-Cola mini cans, and juice. Is Delta’s First Class service worth it? Delta First Class is a worthwhile experience, in my opinion. There are significantly nicer seats in this cabin than in the Main Cabin, the service is excellent, and the complimentary food and beverage selection and quality is excellent. Delta’s Main Cabin, on the other hand, is the ideal place to relax and enjoy your journey.
